Sunday morning Dimsum brunch (10:30 am). Carman got there first and ordered (from the carts) a vast array of Dimsum delicacies

Dishes:

Chicken feet

Har-gao (shrimp dumpling)

Siu-mai (pork ball)

squid curry sauce and other

cuttlefish

tripe

shrimp in rice wrapper

beef balls

steamed rice with pork in banana leaf

soup dumpling

several varieties of steamed dumplings in rice wrappers

beef tendon

warm soft fresh tofu

egg tarts

sesame balls

copious amounts of tea – pu-ehr or jasmine

along with the normal clatter and noise of a Chinese restaurant.

Located on some street impossibly difficult to find running endlessly in the wrong direction with nowhere to park – but what a great apartment – yeah, yeah, I got lost

Mixed vegetable stir fry

BBQ pork

BBQ duck

BBQ chicken

Rice

Doubles (the West Indian snack that is essentially equivalent to channa bathura in Indian snack cuisine – two small flatbreads, deep fried with spicy chick pea curry in between)

and Carman baked pies (in Karen’s oven) for dessert – amazing.

Way too much food and a bit pricey but excellent and appreciated.

This blog is a catch up

We have been meeting for dinners for the better part of a year but have not kept a record until now – Feb 27, 2010. Our first excursion was to North Persian and that must have been in May or June of 2009
